Reduction Clinic at Mountain Waves: Benefits of Meditation Meditation focuses on breathing and centering, often with the use of a word, repeated with each breath, called a mantra. At Mountain Waves, meditation is one way in which guests can achieve personal awareness of their state of wellbeing and recognize areas in need of greater balance. Meditation
can be used to reduce anxiety, high
blood pressure and to help people quit smoking without medication[1]. The most universally experienced benefit reported by those who practice meditation is a calming of the mind, with an associated sense of well-being and unity of mind and body. [1] Sood, Amit.
